About the FounderRJ started woodworking in 1986 while working in manufacturing as a chemical engineer. His interest grew and he made Shaker furniture throughout the 1990's while also transitioning from manufacturing to internet software development. While always maintaining an interest in woodworking, his concern for the environment led to a passion for wood turning when he began recycling tree service logs into wooden bowls in 2002. His hunt for woodturning abrasives at reasonable costs, specifically 2" hook and loop discs for bowl turning, sparked the idea for an online coated abrasives business. He launched his first web site in 2007. In 2009, BuySandpaper.com was formed, linking RJ's unique experience and background in manufacturing and internet software development with his passion for woodturning. |
